Cornwall Council has completed a feasibility study on building a brand new stadium in the South West of England.
It reviewed possible locations, stadium design, potential tenants, capital and revenue implications plus also the options for the management of the stadium. The report identified Langarth Farm, Threemilestone as the best potential site for a stadium.
A council statement read: "As a community stadium, the project is intended to provide economic regeneration and social benefits. As an economic development project the stadium could create up to 400 full time direct and indirect jobs and facilitate visitor spend of up to £3,000,000 per annum."
The 10,000-seater facility is expected to cost between £14m and £24m and include integrated community and commercial facilities plus a business centre. There is currently no planned start for construction.
