Arsenal fans can now watch matches live on a Sony PlayStation Portable (PSP) and even watch goal replays in slow motion.
The Arsenal TV Matchday app will be available to download from Arsenal's official site soon and will be driven by the Emirates’ extensive WiFi network.
It will offer teamsheets, player profiles and even live match statistics, including a live league table revealing to fans inside the stadium what the current result means.
Unfortunately for Gunners’ fans there will not be any video replays of refereeing decisions or penalty appeals.
The popular handheld games console has sold over 3.2 million in the United Kingdom since its release in April 2005.
Mark Grinyer, head of sports at Sony Professional, believes that the new service will not have a negative effect on the atmosphere within the stadium.
He said: "No one would deny that the live experience is the ultimate way to watch sport. What this new service offers is an even more immersive experience for fans.
"Sony is constantly looking at ways in which technology can benefit both the fan and the Club. Our work with Arsenal is truly a world first and we believe that it will set the standard for live event experiences."
