The latest plans for Oldham Athletic Football Club's new stadium were unveiled to more than 200 fans at a recent event to showcase the proposed new stadium at Broadway, Failsworth.
Four new stands will be built in phase one of the project giving the Latics a ground capacity of 12,000 and then the capacity will be increased to 16,000 once the corners are filled in during the completion of phase two.
The club are hopeful that if partners are willing to get involved in the project that phase two will be included in the first phase.
Keeping in tradition with Oldham's mill-town history the main stand facia will be built with a red brick finish to resemble the look of the mills.
Alan Hardy, the Chief Executive at Oldham Football Club, is keen for the developments to get under way.
"It would be nice to get to the stage when we can fill the ground to its 12,000 capacity.” he explained.
“If that happens, that would enable the corners to be filled in sooner rather than later.”
Before the final decision on the plans for the project are submitted the club are calling for fans views and opinions ahead of the final round of consultations at the end of this month.
