Chesterfield Football Club has announced a new sponsorship deal with Midlands Co-Operative for the b2net stadium, currently under construction.

The east stand will be known as the Midlands Co-Operative Community Stand and will host a family friendly environment as the club's official family area.

There are plans for innovative community facilities that will provide for a wide range of local community activities, including health, fitness and education.

Midlands Co-Operative Society's PR and Marketing Manager Stephen Beresford said: "We are delighted to be able to maintain our long established association with Chesterfield Football Club at what is a very exciting time for both the club and the town."

Spireites' Chairman Barrie Hubbard said: "We wish to thank the Midlands Co-Operative Society for its continuing valuable support of the club by sponsorship of the new community stand at the B2net stadium."

The b2net Stadium is expected to cost £13 million and have a capacity of 10,600. It will be completed in the coming months making it ready for the  2010/11 season.
