Fans of Chesterfield Football Club will soon be able to relax and enjoy a pint of real ale in their own little bit of Saltergate in the Brampton area of Chesterfield.

The Brampton Brewery owned Rose and Crown is refurbishing its secluded beer garden with memorabilia from the Recreation Ground.

The real ale pub situated on Old Road is laying turf from the Saltergate pitch, installing seats from the centre stand and providing access through matchday turnstiles.

Brampton Brewery managing director Chris Radford said: "It's a unique opportunity to recreate our own little tribute to the Recreation Ground and all the memories it holds for so many Chesterfield fans.

"It will give our real ale customers their very own Spireite haven in Brampton."

The club will be moving into their brand new b2net stadium for the start of the 2010/11 season.
