IRELAND MAKE DEBUT AT AVIVA STADIUM

The Republic of Ireland's debut at the Aviva Stadium ended in defeat after a 1-0 loss to Argentina.

It was Ireland’s first match at the new £350m Aviva Stadium on the old Lansdowne Road site which was host to some outstanding sporting events over the years.

50,000 fans packed into the brand new arena which took just three years to build but the Boys in Green couldn’t muster a result.
