Paul the psychic octopus has become the latest celebrity to support England's bid to host the FIFA World Cup in 2018.
The two-year-old cephalopod became a global star for predicting results at the World Cup in South Africa.
He has signed a book and a number of merchandise deals, including a possible film deal.
Former England star John Barnes told BBC: "Paul becoming an official ambassador is tremendous for the bid campaign."
The famous octopus was hatched at Weymouth Sea Life Centre in 2008 hit the headlines during the summer for his football predictions.
Paul correctly predicted the results of all seven of Germany's games - including the 4-1 demolition of England for a place in the quarter-finals and also the Spain-Netherlands final.
