SWEDBANK ARENA TO OPEN AGAINST ENGLAND

England will face Sweden in a friendly in Stockholm next year in the inaugural opening their new national stadium.

The match will be the perfect opener for the Swedbank Arena which is currently still under construction. The 60,000-seater stadium will eventually cost €300m and is also set to host the final of 2013 UEFA Women's Championships.

Sweden will leave their current home, the Rasunda Stadium, to play against England in the new venue on 14 November 2012. The match will be the 22nd meeting between the two teams, with Sweden boasting the remarkable record of not having lost to England since 1968.
