1860 Munich looking to push ahead with plans for a new stadium despite the absence of financial support from Jordan investor Hasan Ismaik.
The Bundesliga club's Managing Director Robert Schäfer said Ismaik is "taking care of the club and not of the stadium." First, the club said that the businessman "would at least help the club to get in contact with potential investors."
The club's plan is to build a new 40,000-seat stadium in Munich's eastern borough of Riem, meaning it can leave the Allianz Arena which they currently share Bayern Munich.
The proposed area for the new stadium is part of a distribution centre, which is owned by the city and in close proximity to highways and the convention centre. The club will wait for a response from the city until the end of the year.
