UEFA EURO 2012 preparations have reached another major milestone after tickets go on sale in less than 24 hours.
Fans from across Europe can buy tickets for the prestigious football tournament exclusively from UEFA.com from 1 to 31 March. The highly anticipated competition will be co-hosted by Ukraine and Poland next summer and is expected to sell out quickly.
Ticket prices start at €30 for group matches and rise to €600 for the most expensive seat at the final. A UEFA spokesman said: "UEFA, the Polish and Ukrainian football federations and the local organising committees have put in place a transparent and fair ticketing policy with the aim of offering affordable prices for all 31 matches of UEFA EURO 2012."
The news comes after the controversy surrounding ticket prices for the Champions' League Final at Wembley in May. It appears UEFA has considered the local populations of both host nations in pricing tickets.
"The purchasing power of local citizens has been taken into account when deciding on prices and the cheapest tickets will cost 50% less than at UEFA EURO 2008 in Austria/Switzerland. Furthermore, tickets for the final in category 3 will cost €50 only." For more information on prices visit UEFA.com.
