MARINE REVEAL ARRIVA STADIUM PLANS

Marine Football Club will install a new floodlight system, a 130-seater stand and snack kiosk at the Arriva Stadium.

The Northern Premier Division Club is keen to improve the facilities at the venue which has been their home since 1904. Marine chairman Paul Leary said: "The imbalance of facilities for spectators in our football ground is a cause for concern when we have games with large attendances.

"In the interests of spectator safety, we need to provide additional facilities at the Crosender Road end of the ground."

Marine signed a sponsorship deal with transport company Arriva in 2006 to name the stadium.
