Serie A outfit AC Milan have released plans for a new 48,000-seater stadium which will see them move away from the San Siro.
The Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, which has been AC's home since it was opened in 1926, could soon have a single occupier in rivals Inter, who’ve shared the tenancy of the venue for nearly 70 years.
Milan confirmed on their official website that they have bid for land in the urban area of Portello, and a successful process could see their new venue ready for the 2018/19 season.
The statement read: "AC Milan are interested in the redevelopment of the Portello area of the city.
"Evaluations of the offers will begin and Milan hopes it will lead to the creation of one of the most innovative stadiums in the world."
