AFC Rushden & Diamonds have announced a new terrace will officially be opened on Saturday 18th August.
The Diamonds are gearing up for their first season in men's football after their formation last year and to facilitate the hundreds of supporters that have regularly turned up during the pre-season friendlies, a new terrace is being delivered and fitted at the Dog & Duck Ground, the venue they share with Wellingborough Town.
The club formed after the demise of Rushden & Diamonds FC. The Northamptonshire outfit fell into liquidation at the end of the 2010/11 season and brought their enthralling 19-year history to an abrupt end.
The ribbon officially opening the new Peter De Banke Terrace will be cut by Mrs De Banke ahead of their first fixture of the season against Thrapston Town.
