The multi-million pound redevelopment of Liverpool’s Anfield home looks finally set to go ahead.
The move comes following an announcement from Liverpool City Council they have nearly completed the purchase of 30 homes surrounding the stadium.
The purchase of the homes is necessary if the £260 million redevelopment is to take place at the ground, which has been home to the club since their formation in 1892.
Anfield's redevelopment, which will give it a new capacity of 60,000, is being part funded by the City Council and is currently set for completion in 2016.
