BEES' STADIUM MOVE APPROVED

League 2 Barnet will play in Harrow from the start of the 2013-14 season.

The club's bid to move to The Hive, their current training ground, has been approved by Harrow Council. The Bees plan to swap their 105-year-old Underhill Stadium for an up-to-date, purpose-built venue which will be built at the site of Camrose Avenue, Edgeware.

Barnet had previously announced that next season would be their last at Underhill and the deputy leader of Harrow Council, Thaya Idaikker, said the move was expected to have "tremendous social and economic benefits to the community".

The council have agreed a 10-year lease with the club to run from the start of the 2013-14 season.
