A football match featuring a veterans team from Stockholm club Djurgarden at the newly built Tele2 arena was called off on Thursday after police found an explosive device.
The explosive was discovered by Police just hours before kick-off, with authorities in the Swedish capital now treating the case of one of attempted murder.
The Tele2 arena, built on the site of the old Stockholmsarenan, is scheduled to host two games in Sweden's Football Premier League this month, although it is understood these plans are being reconsidered.
Djurgardens IF and Hammarby IF will be the stadium's main tenants, with the area also hosting the inaugural American Football World Championships in 2015.
