BRISTOL ROVERS' MEMORIAL STADIUM SALE APPEAL DENIED

Campaign group TRASHorfield have been refused permission to appeal the Judicial Review surrounding the sale of Bristol Rovers’ Memorial Stadium.

Yesterday it was announced that  the group were seeking permission to appeal the decision to dismiss a legal challenge against the sale of the Mem to Sainsbury’s, who want to build a supermarket on the site.

Judge Mr Justice Hickinbottom took only a matter of hours to make a quick response to TRASHorfield and refuse them the permission to appeal.

The Gas need the sale of their current home to go ahead to help with funding for a new £40 million stadium based at Stoke Gifford.
