CITY TO BID MILTON ROAD FAREWELL

Cambridge are all set to move out of their Milton Road home with the last ever match at the stadium taking place on April 27th.

The Southern Premier club have played at the ground for over 90 years but housing development at the site of the stadium was given the green light in early 2013, meaning the final match of this season, against Redditch United, will be the last ever game involving a Cambridge City first team at Milton Road.

The Lilywhites expect to groundshare with Newmarket Town next season at their Cricket Field Road ground.

A large crowd is likely to be in attendance for the historic farewell fixture at Milton Road and the club has called on all ex-players to get in contact to take part in the day.

The Lilywhites are also auctioning off a number of items from the ground via their official website - www.cambridgecityfc.com - including the stadium clock, the dugouts and turf.
