DATE CONFIRMED FOR ROVERS STADIUM MEETING

Bristol Rovers have confirmed that plans for a new stadium will be considered by South Gloucestershire Council (SGC) at a meeting on 19 July.

SGC's development control (west) committee will be responsible for deciding the fate of the Arturus Architects-designed project, which is centred around a 21,700-seat venue.

A spokesperson from the club, who currently play at the Memorial Stadium, also revealed Hewlett Packard had withdrawn its objections to the development on land adjacent to the University of West England's campus at Frenchay.
