With the London 2012 Paralympic Games just under two weeks away, the London 2012 Organising Committee (LOCOG) has released a further 45,000 tickets for general sale.

The extra tickets are on sale alongside the 20,000 tickets already available for the Paralympic opening and closing ceremonies in the Olympic Stadium. So far, a record 2.2 million Paralympic tickets have been sold which promises to make London 2012 one of the most exciting.

More Paralympic tickets are expected to become available over the coming days as venue seating plans are finalised. In some cases, seats can only be made available on a day by day and session by session basis, meaning approximately 100,000 tickets will be released for sale during the Paralympic Games.

Seb Coe, LOCOG Chair said: 'We are working flat out to stage a memorable Paralympic Games and I’m delighted that the enthusiasm and support for our Games from the UK shows no sign of wavering.'
