GLOUCESTER CITY AND CHELTENHAM TOWN GROUNDSHARE CONTINUED

Non-league football club Gloucester City have agreed a deal with Cheltenham Town to remain at Whaddon Road next season.

The 2014/15 season will be the fifth consecutive campaign that Gloucester have spent at the stadium after moving in to the ground in 2010.

Gloucester last played at their own home of Meadow Park in April 2007, but the site was destroyed by heavy floods in the summer of that year.

The Tigers spent time at Forest Green Rovers and Cirencester before making the move to Cheltenham.

Gloucester chairman Stuart Pike said: “I wish to put on record a big thank you to Paul Baker [chairman] and Cheltenham Town for their assistance.

“The positive relationship between our two Gloucestershire clubs has shown that football is the winner here and both clubs will benefit from this agreement.”
