INDIAN WELLS SET TO UNVEIL NEW TENNIS STADIUM

Californian tennis venue, Indian Wells, is to unveil it's brand new Stadium 2 on 1st March.

The tennis complex has hosted the BNP Paribas Open since 2000, where it has become the most attended event in the sport oputside of the four Grand Slams.

Stadium 2 will seat 8,000 people and sit in the grounds alonsgside the 16,100-seater main stadium, the second-largest tennis court in the world. Only the Arthur Ashe court at New York's Flushing Meadows seats more fans.

A special charity event offering free admission will be held to mark the opening of the stadium, with John McEnroe, Jim Courier, Peter Fleming and Rick Leach all participating.
