KASSAM OWNERS WANT STATUS REVIEW

The owners of Oxford United's Kassam Stadium have requested for the decision to list the venue a community asset to be re-considered.

Firoka, who own the stadium, have asked the City Council to hold a review of the decision, which was made in May.

The club's supporters' trust, OxVox, applied for the ground to be made a community asset and it means they must be notified if the ground is to be sold.

They would then have six months to compile their own bid for the Kassam Stadium.
