The 50th Super Bowl will be held at San Francisco's Levi's Stadium in February 2016.
The Santa Clara stadium will become the new home of the 49ers in 2014 after one final season at Candlestick Park, and will then host the landmark Super Bowl, to the delight of 49ers CEO Jed York.
The Bay Arena was chosen over Miami, which has previously hosted 10 Super Bowls. One of the major advantages for the San Francisco venue's bid was the fact it is more than half complete.
The Levi's Stadium is a $1.2b venue that will seat 68,500 fans for regular season games, which will increase to 75,000 for the iconic Super Bowl.
