LIVERPOOL SUBMIT ANFIELD EXPANSION PLANS TO CITY COUNCIL

Liverpool have submitted their redevelopment plans for Anfield to the city council.

Under the proposed scheme, the stadium’s capacity would increase to just under 59,000.

If consent is granted, the Main Stand would rise by 8,500 seats to nearly 21,000, lifting the overall capacity to approximately 54,000.

The second phase would then include redevelopment of Anfield Road by just under 5,000 seats, increasing the stadium's total to 58,800.
