Minnesota Vikings' stadium has been demolished.

The Metrodome has long been considered one of the worst sporting venues and a series of dynamite charges were set off at the ground on Sunday to bring it down.

The stadium, which was situated in downtown Minneapolis, cost $55 million to build and was the ninth-oldest ground in the NFL.

The Vikings new stadium will be ready for the 2016 season and, in the meantime, they'll play at TCF bank Stadium - home to the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.
