Coventry City could yet begin the season at the Ricoh Arena if reports emerging from the city are to be believed.

It is rumoured the Sky Blues have been offered a 10-year lease to play at the stadium, their home since 2005, with a greatly reduced rent.

The news comes following an announcement by the club that they are to ground share with League 2 side Northampton Town at their Sixfields Stadium, located over 30 miles away from Coventry.

The Sky Blues board will be under huge pressure to accept the deal that would see them return to the Ricoh Arena. The fans have shown their discontent with the current dealings at the club, with only 200 season tickets sold.
