OAKLAND TO LOOK FOR NEW STADIUM

The Oakland Raiders are looking to move to a new stadium when their lease ends at their current home at the end of this season.

The Raiders, who currently play at the Oakland & Alameda Coliseum, say a new stadium would cost approximately $800 million, with a contribution coming from the NFL.

While Raiders owner Mark Davis said he wants to keep the team in Oakland, he is not prepared to sign another short-term lease before an agreement is in place for a new stadium.

The Raiders have played in Oakland for 13 years, having previously been based in Los Angeles.
