ORIENT'S OLYMPIC STADIUM BATTLE HAS LORDS SUPPORT

Leyton Orient's fight to share the Olympic Stadium with Premier League West Ham United reportedly has support in the House of Lords.

Peers were informed that the League 1 club's first bid to move in to the venue was rejected as it would have cost the taxpayer money, but Baroness King drawn on the 2012 legacy and said it should help clubs like Orient, “rather than stamp on its head and kill it”.

The O's are due to go to court next week to seek a judicial review.

The club currently play at the Matchroom Stadium - traditionally known as Brisbane Road - and have been housed there since 1937.
