PETERBOROUGH UNITED ANNOUNCE NAMING RIGHTS TO NEW STAND

Peterborough United have confirmed their new stadium end is to be called the Motorpoint Stand.

The recently constructed stand was formerly known as the Moy's End, and played host to fans at London Road for the first time at the weekend.

Supporters enjoyed discounted ticket prices for the game against Swindon Town to celebrate its unveiling, which is finally in the completion stages having been in the planning since 2010.

The stand has a capacity of just under 2,600, and a match scoreboard is set to be installed in the coming months.

Posh chief executive Bob Symns said: “The football club are thrilled that Motorpoint have come forward to name our new stand. It is a great opportunity for Motorpoint and for the football club itself. The synergy is superb.

“Motorpoint will help our supporters and sponsors in their specialist field and they have contributed magnificently to the look of the new stand."
