PORTMAN ROAD DECLARED AN ACV

Portman Road, home of Ipswich Town, is the latest stadium to be declared as an Asset of Community Value (ACV).

The owners of the stadium, Ipswich Borough Council, have agreed the site should be regarded as an ACV, recognising the importance of the ground to the town and its people.

The move means the club's fans will be given the opportunity to buy the ground if it ever goes up for sale.

Liverpool's Anfield, Manchester United's Old Trafford and Oxford United's Kassam Stadium have all recently been recognised as ACVs.
