A petition calling for a new Bristol Rovers Stadium will be handed in to 10 Downing Street later today.
Prime Minister David Cameron is set to receive the list of signatures, which has reached almost 13,000, supporting plans for the current site to be sold to Sainsbury's.
That would allow the Gas to build a new stadium in Stoke Gifford and the supermarket chain to develop at the Memorial Stadium, Rovers' home since 1996.
A rival group is worried about the impact a supermarket would have on the local area.
