Qatar authorities have released plans for a new stadium to be used in the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Despite the nation’s bid receiving severe amounts of criticism in recent weeks, the country is pressing on with plans for the tournament.
The Qatar Foundation Stadium is due to be complete for 2018, and will hold 40,000 fans for the World Cup games assigned to the venue, before downsizing to 25,000 seats after its completion.
The facility is the fourth stadium that has been revealed for the tournament so far, with five further projects already under construction, and at least one more design set to be unveiled in the coming months.
