Ulster Rugby's Ravenhill Stadium could host a world title boxing fight.

Carl Frampton stopped Jeremy Parodi in the sixth round of an IBF World title eliminator in a sold-out Odyssey Arena on Saturday 19th October, and the fighter's manager Barry McGuigan has labelled Ravenhill as a potential venue for a world title bout, should he be given a shot.

The Belfast venue, which holds 13,500, was opened in 1923.

McGuigan said: “I know the business and he will be a superstar. Ravenhill is definitely an option [for a world title venue] – we can go outdoors.

“We also want to go to Madison Square Garden and bring this kid to Vegas because I think that’s where he can be a superstar. They’re going to love him out there as well.”
