Italian Serie A side Roma have been hit with a partial stadium closure for their next match.
The south stand at the Stadio Olympico
will be closed as punishment for a banner displayed by the club’s fans against Napoli last weekend.
The banner read: “How sad: making money from death through books and interviews” – a reference to Antonella Leardi whose son Ciro Esposito was shot in Rome last May in an incident before the Italian Cup Final.
The Italian Football Federation said the punishment will be in place for Roma’s clash with Atalanta on 19th April.
