Sacramento Republic began life in their new Bonney Field home with a 4-3 win over the Colorado Rapids Reserves.

The USL PRO soccer side moved into the $3 million stadium - formerly known as the Cal Expo Multi-Use Sports Field Facility - on Thursday after construction took just three months to complete.

The new 8,000-seater venue in the Californian capital includes VIP seating, a state-of-the-art digital board, a fan zone and a beer garden amongst its facilities.
