SMU ANNOUNCE FORD STADIUM UPGRADE

The Southern Methodist University [SMU] Mustangs are preparing for their 2013 move to the Big East conference by upgrading Ford Stadium.

SMU has announced it will add a new 233-seat Hall of Champions Club and seven new suites to the venue along with their "indoor/outdoor design".

The new design was described on smumustangs.com as allowing fans to "enjoy the comfort of indoor amenities as well as the excitement of sitting out in the bowl and hearing the roar of the crowd and the hard-hitting action on the field".

The 32,000-capacity stadium was last improved in 2011 costing $3million, which covered the renovation of the locker rooms and team meeting rooms and prior to the 2009 season, SMU installed new integrated video and audio system in Ford Stadium.
