Skrill South club Hayes and Yeading United need another £2million to complete the stand at their new Sharda Glass Community Stadium.

The sum is required to get the venue, which is based in Beaconsfield Road, up to National Ground Grading Category B standard.

It was anticipated that the ground would be ready for action by Christmas but United chairman Tony O'Driscoll recently revised that target.

No progress has been made at the stadium in recent weeks and O'Driscoll told the Uxbridge Gazette: “The builders have pulled off and said that we owe them money.

“The builders are saying that there’s another £2million of work on the stand to get it finished, but we don’t have £2million so we need to see how much we can get done with the money we have got and see where we are then.”

The club currently play their home games at Woking's Kingfield Stadium in Surrey.
