Western Sydney Wanderers are hoping to have an extension to Parramatta Stadium planned and completed in time for the new A League season's start.
A 3,500-seat increase, which would see the stadium's capacity rise to 24,000, is "more likely than not" according to Wanderers chairman Lyall Gorman.
A project manager has already been appointed by Venues NSW, which has ultimate control of the stadium, to supervise the proposed development.
"There’s a hugely can-do attitude from all parties, and it’s about trying to find the best solution for all of us,” Gorman said.
