WESTPAC GIVEN GO AHEAD

New Zealand's Rugby Championship match against Australia on Saturday will be played at the Westpac Stadium after the Wellington venue was given the all clear.

Fears over the stadium's safety was raised after the area was hit with an earthquake last week but approval was granted following an engineering assessment and the promise of repairs being completed before Saturday.

New Zealand Rugby Chief executive Steve Tew said: “It’s great news we can host a sell-out crowd [38,000] in a safe stadium as planned."
