Work on Stamford AFC's new sports complex can begin after councillors chose to change an access requirement.
The joint project between Stamford AFC, New College Stamford and Burghley estates and is estimated to be worth £5million.
Burghley - the owners of the land - asked the South Kesteven District Council to alter a condition imposed when the plans were approved in March that needed a new junction to be built prior to work commencing.
Burghley asked for the junction to be finished at a later date, which was accepted, meaning work can now start.
The club currently plays its home games at Kettering Road, Stamford.
