Building work is due to start on FC United's new stadium, with a completion date set for August.
The news comes after a lease was signed with Manchester Council for the site on the Ronald Johnson Playing Fields in Moston.
Delighted club general manager Andy Walsh said: “This is a momentous day for FC United of Manchester and also for the local community who will benefit from this facility.
“This is a brilliant achievement and one of which everyone connected with the club should be very proud.”
FC United was formed in 2005 and the club has fought extensively with a section of residents who are against the erection of the £5.5m stadium.
The club has played at a variety of venues since its formation including Bury's Gigg Lane.
